It doesn't look like much, but it's only temporary until I get a couple other builds done, then we'll see about the future of this one.
I didn't crawl under to look, but is the master specific to those big trucks? I suggested he might convert it to a dual chamber type anyways, as long as it needs to be done.

Engine bolt pattern?

I can pick up a 53 GMC 3/4 ton truck with no compression at a very reasonable price. I have a 58/62 235 in hand. Does anyone know if that is a direct bolt up or would I need to get a new bell housing? The GMC has a 4 speed with granny gear if that helps.
Thanks in advance,
I put a set of the Right Stuff discs on the rear and am having a heck of a time getting them bled. They are power brakes. Installed a new disc/disc master cylinder. There is an adjustable proportioning valve on the rears(was there when rears had drums). Have a remote fill for MC because it's mounted under drivers floor on frame. There are no leaks. I've checked and re-checked. Borrowed a power bleeder from the chevy garage and that worked getting fluid moving and some pedal but still has to be pumped to get any pedal. Going to try and bleed them manually again. Any ideas? Thanks for any help!

apache 3100 interchangable body parts with 3600

I'd like to know if the body parts off of a 3600 series 1959 Apache will fit on a 3100 series of the same year ? the 3100 is 1/2 ton and the 3600 is a 3/4 ton. I'm back with another question Its in regards to changing the rear main seal while the motor is in the truck. I have my sneaky pete a new seal and new pan gaskets. They are mostly procedural questions....Do I leave a bit of gasket to "smash" when the pan is replaced? Do i lube the new seal? Do I have to loosen all main caps and drop the crank a bit? If so will I damage the front seal? I have searched on here and found very few posts regarding this. (I probably just cant find what I'm looking for!) I figured it couldn't hurt to ask the pros! Any tips or hints would be AWESOME! Thanks MIke
I dont necessarily have a problem with the 3/4 ton running gear other that parts are harder to find. Can I replace the spindles with 1/2 ton ones or do I need to replace everything. Another question that may help with the first is that the truck is a long bed with a home made flatbed on it. I have a real nice shortbed I want to use. Would I be better off finding a short bed 1/2 ton frame or shortening the longbed frame.

gas tank relocate?

I am wanting to relocate the tank on my 59 Apache. I have researched it quite a bit and feel confident I can handle it. My question is there a way to still use the original filler location to keep a stock look? I realize the fuel filler hose will be pretty long but why cant I use hardline most of the way? Has anyone done this or is it impossible?
