Replaced oil sump, valve covers and gaskets. Oil filter, oil (20w50).

Picked it up last night and all seemed well. Had a slight tapping, but it went away 50 metres down the road, so I payed it no mind.

Started it up this morning and it was back, and wouldn't go away. After idling for a few minutes it starts to die. Drove it up the road and had to turn back. The noise got violent and started vibrating, then it lost all compression and I barely made it around the round-a-bout without stalling. Managed to limp it home.

Here's a video of how bad it sounds.
Anyone got any thoughts on it?
Was suppose to use it in a mate's wedding tomorrow, so that's now off the cards.
In my process of restoration, I did remove everything from the body. I removed the chrome piece where the top of the side windows goes, where the new rubber seal will be installed. But, between that piece of chrome and the top of the car, there was a kind of sealer or foam. Excuse me for not being clear enough, I don't know the name of that part (piece of chrome). I don't even know it in french! I do believe it's not the drip rail but near of it but/or under of it. Well, for thoses of you who understand what I mean, do you know what today's product I can put there? I did post pic of what I mean, hope this helps. It's not a pic of my car and not clearly what I mean but it's the best I can for now. Trying to decide if I have a proportioning problem. A few notes: (1) converted front brakes to disc, (2) portioning valve is new and for front discs and rear drum, and (3) power brake booster and master cylinder are stock. Problem, no fluid to rear brakes and therefore can not bleed rear brakes.; Have installed new rear cylinders because problem existed before upgrade and old cylinders were "gummed up" on the inside, so in order to ensure the old cylinders were not the problem just replaced. No help. Used test light on proportioning valve and tested OK, i.e., test light did not light up. If disconnect the line from the portioning valve to the rear brakes and press the brake pedal some fluid flows but pedal does not go all the way to the floor. If disconnect the line from the master to the proportioning valve pedal goes way down but does not bottom out. With master cover off and pushing on the brake pedal both the front and rear reservoirs "blow" bubbles. Bottom line, no fluid to rear brakes. Any and all suggestions appreciated. (I didn’t post about theses, I was too angry…) This w-e was fun to work on my Bel Air. Grill and almost all the front end is assemble, rear too. The plastic ‘clips’ that hold the screws for the grill were gone. So I had to use the ones from the parts car I bought several years ago. I didn’t remember how they were. Finnaly I just had to wash them prior to install. This 69 Biscayne is the best thing I bought for my project. I took so many parts from it. Bought for 500, sold the engine for 250, I do believe that my investment is paying back. Next step, clean the the top so I can start the interior. June will be a busy month, I will not be able to work a lot on the car. But I don't work the first week of july. If everything goes like this w-e, the Bel Air should be ready for exibitions!
