Spent all last summer tearing the car down to body and frame just in time to start my student teaching, which has sadly kept me from the project ever since. Just recently I found I will be moving to Florida for work, and I cannot afford to take my Chevy with me, and have exhausted all other feasible options.

I sunk a lot of time and money into this car, but I know that in it's current state it won't bring a lot in. Body is solid apart from driver's side floors (have new pans for both d/p f/r). I have all the trim, the glass, the chrome, bench seat frames, everything that came off it except the transmission and old 305. I have a brand new 350 crate motor and new short headers, as well as new floor pans.

I really, really can't afford to see this car go for any less than $3000 ($5k with the motor), because that will already be taking a hit of over $4000 when all is said and done. However, I know that's not necessarily reasonable considering the car basically needs full assembly.

I'll post a picture of the car in it's current state below. Just looking for advice, input here, because I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place, and this whole situation is majorly bumming me out, I was hoping to never see this car go.

Any help you can offer would be beyond appreciated. Ya'll are the greatest. Side note: I'm located in the Metro Detroit area. (Not the greatest picture, but the car is staying at my friend's garage right now, so this is the most accurate depiction of its current state).

216 for sale

All right gang-all yu guys in love with the 6 cylinders ( and you know who you are). I have a 216 complete and running, My current daily driver for sale. It was rebuilt in the 90s. I have the receipts. Don't know for sure the mileage but it is low. It's a leaker- needs gaskets i think. Carb & starter rebuilt. Was converted to 12v. Has a split header rather like the Fenton, but appears to be tubing rather than cast. Drove it all winter. Still in the car. Plan to pull it in June. trans goes too!Was thinking $200 Or trade for stuff I need, partial trade what ever.Hear it run Drive before you buy.
