I need to know if there is a difference in the design of the rear shocks from the '07 NBS and the '07 Classic style. I recently installed a pair of Monroe Reflex shocks in the rear only to later find out the part number I had was for the Classic. Please respond with any insight you may have to the extent of any possible differences in design. Thank, Doug
I've swapped trucks (my 99 Silverado to an 09 LTZ). Well over the last month or so I've noticed that the outside temperature is inaccurate, usually reads well below what the temp actually is. And it doesn't react very quickly to changes in temp, and then it doesn't come up to where it should.

Anyhow, other than reading the wrong temp, does the ECM use this information for adjusting the engine? The reason I ask is, when the reading is way off the engine seems to run "different".

If this is the case, can someone tell me where the sensor is and what I need to do to fix or adjust it.

FYI this is a 1500 LTZ, 5.3 and I have a Volant CAI and a catback exhaust.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Washer Fluid Message

Good Morning All,

I am having a difficult time clearing a low washer fluid message in my 2011 Tahoe. The fluid was refilled and after multiple attempts to reset the message in the DCI (Driver Info Center), the
message reappears. To be more specific, when the vehicle is started or the key is turned to the on position, the low fluid message appears. The set/reset button is pushed and the message disappears, only to reappear the next time the key is turned to the on position or is started. The Tahoe is still under warranty and I have no problem taking it in for a possible bad sensor however, I want to make sure I do all possible to solve this issue. Thank you all for any info you may be able to provide....

2007 Uplander "Reduced Engine Power"

I have a 2007 Uplander I bought used about a month ago. It's been fine until today-- my wife pulled out of the driveway and started to accelerate and the van just shut off. She pulled to the side of the road and shut off the ignition. She tried to start it, and got "ignition disabled" warning. She waited a minute or so and tried again-- it started but the engine light came on and she got the message "reduced engine power"-- with actual reduced engine power. No overheating or hard accelerating. She brought it to the local shop and they told her the code came back saying "there is a wiring problem"-- I didn't speak with them personally so I don't know the exact code. I went to the shop and drove it home-- same message and sluggish acceleration. I let the engine run at the house, and I think I can hear a vauum leak but for the life of me cannot find it. Its coming from the drivers' side of the engine-- sounds like behind the air intake boot somewhere. Any ideas anyone?

Need some advice 2011 Silverado issues! Help!

1st problem. Transmission harsh shift and delayed shift first to second and second to first. Usually when driving slow. 6 speed, 2wd 5.3. Tech verified and said it was horrible. His words. They said its a learning trans. I gave it a while. No difference. Its been in 3 times and now has 18k miles. They hand me a tsb and say its normal. It sounds like the trans is gonna explode! Frustrating to say the least.

2nd problem, pinging noise from engine during lite acceleration. Worse under load like going up hill but is almost always present. Tech confirmed it but said he thinks its the fuel management system. Its so loud that I have to turn the radio up just to drown it out.

I bought my new truck thinking I would fall in love with it. Boy was I wrong. Im not sure what I should do at this point. I have talked to someone at gm customer assistance but she doesn't seem to care too much, just going through the process. I'm not sure what to do but maybe someone on here could tell me if these concerns are things I should really worry about.

Another thought, If I try to sell this truck how do I overcome these concerns ?

I appreciate any assistance anyone can offer.
