Question: I just had my 2004 Z71 in for it's yearly New York State Inspection, everything was fine with the exception of the brake and fuel lines. The Tech. advised me that they have surface rust forming - he said that it was very common for the age of the truck. He suggested that I wire brush them and then spray black undercoating on them. Just wondering if anyone here had this type of problem and if this seems reasonable to do? If not, is there anything on the market that can be sprayed on the lines to either contain or reduce the rust from forming?

Thanks!
