Just getting back into the restoration project I last worked on eight years ago. Started 13 years ago. Well, better late then never. I pulled the powerglide trans off the 235 which had been in the car today. The engine was not even slightly stuck after sitting in the shop for 13 years. I was amazed. I purchased a 53 rebuilt full pressure engine a few years ago and plan to replace the engine I removed. Just wondering what color the bell housing and powerglide should be painted or if they were even painted originally?

They were not painted.
