I have a 81 GMC 2500. I am looking to give my old 81 a face lift with new rims and tires. I currently have the 8 lug 16 in steel rims. I am looking for a sporty look as the truck is 2 wheel drive i'm not looking to jack it up or go big. I want a street sport look. The problem im having is finding a site or source to help me see them on my truck or give me size options. If any one knows of one please let me know. or if you happen to know what sizes i could run or brands that kind of thing would be helpful. http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u407/free_bird ...

Stock aluminum 8 lug wheels look nice. Checkout this link for trucks with aftermarket wheels. http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com/visitors1.htm

Eagle Alloys would look good. I am thinking about a set of these on my 86 C20 project. 16x8 8 lug are about $115 each. You can also run the 8 lug wheels from the newer GM trucks if you like the factory look. You may also be able to find a set cheap with some good tires too!

There isn't a lot of selection in the 8 lug aftermarket rims. There are far more in the 5 and 6 lug variety. You want to stay with 16 inch or 17 inch tires. These will provide you with the widest selection of tires. American Racing has a website that lists most of their wheels and tires, and will provide you a picture of them. American Racing has the widest selection of 8 lug rims. You can also look at 4 wheel parts wholesalers, they typically have a wheel and tire package that will save you a little money on most styles of rims. Since 4 wheel drive parts places deal largely with large tires and 8 lug rims, they generally have good deals on them. |

Nice to know 4x4 places will have the best selection for this. My other trucks I have owned were all 5 lug this is my first full size gm truck and 8 lug setup

try this site: http://www.wheelsnext.com/preview-wheels-on-my- car... you'll need a decent side veiw pic of your truck to upload to the visualizer... then you can sample a few styles that you think you can get in you lug pattern just to get a feel for what they might look like... kinda cool little app, someone maywant to post a link to this site up in the stickies
