Thanks to all for the replies. We have since done a lot of research and talked to several tranny "gurus". Evidently, the 350/700R4/308 combo was standard issue for all 80-90 Camaro/ Firebirds. Since I used to have an 85 Camaro, I feel very comfortable with the combination now. Specially since we're not building this truck to be a "heavy hauler". Thanks again for all the responses. Bill
